IDPA is excited to announce the dates and location of our 2018 US National Championship.

The 2018 event will be held September 13 – 15, 2018 at the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Talladega Marksmanship Park in Talladega, AL.

NASCAR fans will recognize Talladega as the home of the Talladega Super Speedway . However, located two miles from the world – famous Talladega Superspeedway , Talladega is also home to the CMP’s 500 – acre facility . It features a 15 action pistol bays , a 600 – yard rifle range wi th targets at 200, 300 and 600 yards, a 100 – yard multi – purpose range and a 50 – yard pistol range. It also includes a trap field, 5 – stand field and a 15 – station sporting clays field – all with automated trap machines.

With this move in location we will also have a new Match Director. Chad Barber, recently retired from the Coast Guard, is a familiar name to those that have enjoyed the great IDPA matches at the S&W facility in Massachusetts as both a stage designer, CSO and MD for matches there. Well versed in building and running matches, we are expecting a great event f rom him and his team. Assisting him in the AMD role is Sam Henderson, MD of the challenging and exciting Masters match in AL and Nicky Carter, AC for Mississippi and a respected MD.
