IDPA Taichung Club

The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) has been introduced to Taiwan for five years now, and currently has 8 clubs across the nation with over 200 official IDPA members. We warmly welcome everyone to join us in this unique shooting sports competition!

The highest principle of IDPA is \”safety\”. We insist all participants to strictly follow the \”four safety rules of gun handling\”:

Always point the gun in a safe direction.
Always assume the gun is loaded.
Keep your finger off the trigger until you\’re ready to shoot.
Be sure of your target and what\’s beyond it.
We advocate and foster a safe and positive shooting sports environment. There are no qualifications required to participate in our activities, and we welcome newcomers. You don\’t need to rush to join as an IDPA member or participate in events and courses, instead, come and observe our regular competitions. You can also share your thoughts with our IDPA Safety Officer. If you wish to participate in our events or courses, just bring your current equipment. If you don\’t have any equipment, don\’t worry, let us know and we\’ll find a way to assist you!
