2nd Annual Racine IDPA 007 Match

RACINE IDPA ? MAY 17th, 2014 – 2nd Annual 007 Match ? The next Racine IDPA match is coming up this Saturday, May 17th, 2014. This is the 2nd annual James Bond 007 Match. The match is being held at Schultz Gun Club in Muskego. Directions can be found on our web site at?http://www.racineidpa.com.? ? Setup and range preparation will start at?8:30 am.?Registration will begin at 8:45 am.?The Safety Briefing will be at 9:45 am and shooting will start at 10:00 am. ? ? ?You?MUST?attend the safety meeting to be able to shoot. If you arrive late and miss the safety meeting you will not be able to shoot. Also, eye and ear protection are required for everyone who goes out into the range regardless if you are shooting or just observing. ? COURSES OF FIRE This month features the 2nd annual James Bond 007 match.? There will be 8 stages.? Shooters should bring a minimum of 150 rounds. ?A concealment garment is?required for most stages. ? ?Match fee is $16 for Racine IDPA members, $21 for all non-members and $10 for staff. ? NEW SHOOTERS If you are a new shooter, we ask that you do not gear up until we meet to discuss equipment placement (holster and mag carriers). One of our Safety Officers will ask each new shooter to explain the controls (safety, mag release, etc.) of their firearm. ??? SAFETY OFFICERS We plan on 4 ? 6 squads, and we need at least 2 people per squad to step forward to act as Safety Officers.? MATCH DIRECTOR Patrick Scalise will be the Match Director at this match. ? PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Remember, helping with the match will earn entries towards whatever prize guns the club gives away in December 2014. Registration, set up / teardown, acting as an S.O., etc., all count towards earning entries. ? Our current club raffle is a charity raffle for Wisconsin Special Olympics, and the prize is a Springfield Armory XDm 5.25? .45ACP pistol. At leats 100 tickets are to be sold, at a cost of $10 each. All Federal, State, and local laws apply with regards to the transfer of this firearm. ? If you ordered a hat with your 2014 membership, please make sure to ask for it at registration. ? If anyone has any suggestions for stages, please send them my way. I’m always interested in other peoples’ stage design, and while I can’t guarantee they’ll get used at any particular match, the odds are good that they’ll get used eventually. Please keep in mind that the designs may be modified to keep them IDPA-legal or to fit the range the match is held at. ?
