PCAS Monthly Match

Powell County Action Shooters Monthly Match. Practiscore opens the week of the match. https://practiscore.com/clubs/powell-county-action-shooters Six stages of IDPA fun. At the Powell County Shooting Association located at 340 Lake Hill Road, Deer Lodge, MT Setup begins at 9 and safety brief begins at 9:30. If you would like to participate in this event please be signed in and ready well before 9:30. The fee for this Match is 10 dollars. If you are not a member of the Powell County Shooting Association there is a 5 dollar fee for a 1 day membership. (This money goes to buying new targets and range equipment to improve everyone’s experience) If this is your first match with the Powell County Action Shooters then there is no fee it only costs you ammo to come and at least try it. The object of these matches is to familiarize participants with the ins and outs of competitive pistol with an emphasis on safety and defensive handgun skills. If you carry a pistol for personal defense you owe it to yourself to come and experience the fun. This match will use the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) rule book. Per IDPA rules the range will be cold. Please have your handguns unloaded and cased/bagged when you arrive. The Safety Officers on duty will direct you to the location where you can safely handle your firearm. All shooters need a strong side belt holster, magazine carrier, 3 magazines and a handgun suitable for daily concealed carry. All stages will be shot from concealment so remember a jacket or vest or your favorite Hawaiian shirt. See you at 9 am on Saturday. Remember your hearing and eye protection. Also sunscreen!
