Record Pre-Registration for 2019 SIG SAUER World Championship
IDPA Announces Record Pre-Registration for 2019 Sig Sauer IDPA World Championship and 2019 Sig Sauer PCC National Championship
BOGATA, TX, (July 9, 2019) – The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) reports a record pre-registration for the 2019 Sig Sauer IDPA World Championship and 2019 Sig Sauer IDPA PCC National Championship.
IDPA Executive Director Joyce Wilson said, “We are delighted that so many of our members from around the globe want to be a part of this celebration of our sport. With the prestigious World Championship, which happens every 4 years, the addition of our newest pistol division Carry Optics, and the inaugural Pistol Caliber Carbine National Championship, we are seeing the highest number of applicants ever. Nearly 700 shooters pre-registered for the more than 400 available slots.” Shooters will begin receiving notification of acceptance to the matches beginning the week of July 15th and that notification will continue until July 30th. Wilson added that for anyone who does not get in initially, “Not all hope is lost. Any registrations not utilized or paid for in a timely manner will be filled from the waiting list.”
The 2019 Sig Sauer IDPA World Championship and 2019 Sig Sauer IDPA PCC National Championship will take place October 22-26, 2019 at the Civilian Marksmanship Range in Talladega, Alabama.
