Beretta USA Will Return as the Event Sponsor of the 2022 IDPA National Championship
Beretta USA is excited to announce that our company will be returning as the title sponsor of the 2022 IDPA National Championship match.
The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) is the governing body of a shooting sport that simulates self-defense scenarios and real-life encounters. It was founded in 1996 as a response to the desires of competitive and defensive shooters worldwide. The organization now has a membership of more than 24,000, including members in 74 foreign countries.
“Beretta USA is excited to support IDPA as Nationals Match Sponsor for the second year in a row,” Nicola Lorenzi, Pistol Product Manager, said. “The partnership with IDPA highlights our passion for excellence and performance, especially in the competition world. Our mission is to introduce more and more people to this fantastic sports discipline while also promoting firearms education across the United States.”
The Tier 5 National Championship match usually hosts approximately 400 shooters, who will compete in 16 stages over three days of tough competition as they run through various intense defensive situations at the exclusive Cameo Shooting and Education Complex in scenic Grand Junction, Colorado. This year’s IDPA US National Championship is scheduled for September 22-24, 2022.
Joyce Wilson, IDPA Executive Director, said, “Last year, Beretta exceeded our expectations as event sponsors. They were a pleasure to work with, and we know they bring world-class support to matches like ours. We couldn’t put on matches like our National Championship without leading industry sponsors, and we are thrilled that Beretta is joining us again this year. With their support and participation, we know that this will be our most exciting and prestigious match yet.”
Team Beretta athletes – JJ Racaza, Jessica Hook, and Ben Hardt – will attend the 2022 IDPA US National Championship as both competitors and ambassadors for the brand. Racaza returns to this competition as the reigning (2021) IDPA National Champion for the SSP Division.
