Godspeed Firearms School, LLC
Godspeed Firearms School uses this match format as part of our coaching curriculum and as a teaching aide for those students interested in sustaining defensive pistol skills. But we are no here to provide entertainment. We run defensive drills coupled with skill development drills under the guidelines of an IDPA Scenario based unlimited match. Our Course of Fire descriptions may include a procedural error for actions such as hugging cover, pushing gun past cover, not scanning, not moving off the X when drawing, not moving to cover, scanning with an empty gun, coming back out from the same side of cover, movement backward into an unknown area, planting for too long, not slicing the pie on cover, just to name a few. So we are not a "shooting club"; we are a Firearms School, whose goal is to pour into our students the knowledge transfer necessary to prevail in an armed conflict, therefore we only run IDPA unlimited scenario based matches, as a platform to conduct proper group coaching sessions, which include the principles of movement and the psychology of a combative mindset combined with an emphasis on surviving a gunfight.
