Aurora Gun Club

AGC is a hidden jewel in Aurora, Ontario. The club currently enjoys a wide variety of disciplines and offers an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. This year (2025) we continue to offer club level mini-matches, sanctioned matches, Holster Training and Qualification Courses and Safety Officer training. This year we promoted 4 Cheif Safety Officers and 16 Safety Officers adding to our leadership team.

If you have shot a match at Aurora you will note, the members are very eager to share their knowledge and help anyone improve their skills. We continue to enjoy a large cohort of accomplished and talented practical shooters. This year our club organized a club team to represent at the Spring Challenge, the Provincials, the Nationals and the Algonquin Cup. We brought home numerous awards for 1st place in overall match wins, classification and division wins. The spoils for the 2024 included 37 trophies and awards including, 1 match win, The Algonquin Cup Champion, 8 Division Champ Titles, 20 Class wins, and 8 Category Awards.

AGC IDPA meets every second Monday evening from 5:30pm until we run out of ammunition and every fourth Saturday from 8:00am until noon. This occurs every month.

If you have an IPSC black badge or IDPA holster qualification please come out and join in on the fun. If you are a PPC shooter with a holster qualification you may also join in.

Having said this, IDPA is a handgun centric – defensive pistol that utilizes conceal carry and scenario/standards based stages, making this discipline quite unique from the other shooting sports. Expect a learning curve with great people and high engagement that will leave a smile on your face.
