IDPA HQ Announces New State Coordinator for Texas
IDPA HQ is happy to announce that John Lawrence from Merit, TX has accepted the role as State Coordinator for Texas effective February 1, 2024.
John started shooting IDPA in 2014 and since that time his wife, Memarie, and son Ashton, all have taken up the sport. While IDPA has been a family outing that has allowed John’s family to enjoy more time together, John believes it is truly one of the only sports that is a lifelong activity that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
John started as an SO in 2015 and has worked many matches as a SO and CSO across many states, over the years. He was the AMD for Texas State in 2022 and then took over as MD in 2023. John looks forward to the opportunity supporting Ben Petty, AC, as well as all of the local clubs and MDs for sanctioned matches within the Great State of Texas.
