IDPA HQ is releasing updated copies of the official IDPA Rulebook
IDPA HQ has listened to feedback from members, match directors, and match volunteers about the rules and updates released February 2023. We wanted to make sure that holster rules and the appeals process were clear enough to help match staff and competitors know that their equipment is legal. These changes will go into effect January 1, 2024. You can download the new rulebook here, or anytime via the Downloads tab in your member dashboard.
We appreciate all member feedback and hope that these clarifications will help all our members worldwide enjoy IDPA and better understand the core principles of IDPA and defensive carry.
We encourage members to direct all questions and feedback about the updated documents to your Area Coordinator or IPOC.
We have removed the 2023 rulebook from sale at our Amazon store. We are already working to get the new rulebook added to the Amazon store, and we will announce it here when it goes live. If you have already downloaded or purchased a rulebook, you can download a list of the changes to keep by clicking here.
