RACINE IDPA ? July 26th Match The next Racine IDPA match is coming up this Saturday, July 26th, 2014. The match will be held at Schultz Resort Rod & Gun Club in Muskego, WI. Directions can be found on our web site at http://www.racineidpa.com. Setup and range preparation will start at 8:00 AM. Registration begins at 9:00 AM. The Safety Meeting will be at 09:45 AM with shooting to start at 10:00. You MUST attend the safety meeting to be able to shoot. If you arrive late and miss the safety meeting you will not be able to shoot. Also, eye and ear protection are required for everyone who goes out into the range. COURSES OF FIRE This month features eight stages. Concealment will be mandatory for some of the stages. The minimum round count for the match is approximately 110 rounds. Online registration is at http://www.eventzilla.net/web/event?eventid=2139037075, and the match fee is $16 for Racine IDPA members, $21 for all non-members. Walk-up registration at the match is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. NEW SHOOTERS If you are a new shooter, we ask that you do not gear up until we meet to discuss equipment placement (holster and mag carriers). One of our S.O.’s will ask each new shooter to explain the controls (safety, mag release, etc) of their firearm. SAFETY OFFICERS We plan on 8 squads, and we need at least 8 certified S.O.’s to step forward. SO’s will also be responsible for the initial stage set up. PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE The 2014 WI State IDPA Championship will be held at Schultz?s on 09/20/2014. There is a limit of 99 non-staff Shooters, and slots are filling fast. If you intend to shoot this match, please make sure to get your match application and fee in as soon as you can. I’m always interested in other peoples’ stage design, and while I can’t guarantee they’ll get used at any particular match, the odds are good that they’ll get used eventually.
