MATCH INFO
+ We are a Tier 4 IDPA Match with 12 stages, 200+ rounds, and equipment check.
+ All classes. All divisions. PCC-10 in addition to PCC due to new Illinois laws.
+ The 2023 Illinois State IDPA Championship is an event by Midwest Shooting Competition, LLC. A 501(c)(7) not for profit organization.
+ 100% of the match profits go back to MSC for club and match improvements.
+ Our theme this year is “Game Night”. We are taking some classic card, board, and video games; and giving them an IDPA twist.
+ We also want to thank Loke Uei Tan at Ancient Sky Games for developing and maintaining Practisim, the VR game that we used to create the state diagrams.
NEW ILLINOIS LAW
+ Unfortunately, Illinois has passed an “assault” weapon ban and a ban on rifle magazines over 10 rounds and handgun magazines over 15 rounds.
+ If you owned your 16+ round magazine prior to 1/10/2023 it is still LEGAL for you to posses and use at gun ranges and our match. The 16+ round magazine(s) MUST be transported UNLOADED.
+ If you owned your “assault” weapon prior to 1/10/2023 it is still LEGAL for you to posses and use at gun ranges and our match. The “assault” weapon MUST be transported UNLOADED and in a case.
+ Non-Illinois residents may have their “assault” weapons in Illinois for use at ranges and our match.
+ “Assault weapons” includes “assault” rifles and “assault” pistols.
+ “Assault” rifles are defined as semi-automatic rifles that can accept a detachable magazines. So basically, all PCC’s.
+ “Assault” pistols, for IDPA sake, are any pistols with a threaded barrel.
+ The MD and the staff of the 2023 Illinois State IDPA Championship will NOT be checking for legality, nor requiring the competitors sign any affidavits.
+ The MD can NOT guarantee that law enforcement will not be present or walking around looking at equipment. This is a government owned range.
RANGE SPECIFIC RULES
+ Per Rule 2.13, M-1.6.7, and M-13.4.2: Striking the vehicles or metal door frames on any stage will result in a DQ from the match.
DEADLINES
+ Match registration deadline is 4/1/2024, no refunds can be given after this date as we have match expenses that need to be paid by this date.
+ Refunds will be in the amount of $130. This is due to credit card processing fees.
+ Division change deadline is 4/1/2023. After this date, email the Match Director for permission to change divisions.
MATCH BOOKS
+ Match books will only be available electronically.
+ Match books will be released on the WEDNESDAY before the match.
