SCFC IDPA Introductory Class NO CHARGE!

Come learn about the exciting sport of International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) shooting. IDPA is the use of practical equipment to solve simulated real world self-defense scenarios using practical handguns and holsters that are suitable for self-defense use. The main goal is to test the skill and ability of an individual, while simulating self-defense scenarios and real life encounters. IDPA offers an exciting forum for practical shooters in which equipment, techniques and courses of fire are mandated.

This is a fun, fast-paced, timed, live-fire sport concentrating on safety
– Saturday, April 19, 2025
– 9:30AM 2:00PM, Clubhouse and then on the range
– This is a NO-COST event, must be 18 years of age

– You do not need to be a member of SCFC and no prior competitive shooting experience is required
– The purpose of this class is to cover the basics of the sport, concentrating on the safety of everyone involved.
It is NOT meant as a firearms training course.

What to bring
– Eye Protection required
– Ear Protection required
– Handgun (.38/9mm through .45 caliber, semi-auto or revolver) required
– 50 rounds of ammunition required
– Outside the Waistband (OWB) or Inside The Waistband (IWB) Holster optional
– Good to bring if you have one you are thinking of using in competition
– No Appendix Carry allowed for the intro course
– (2) Belt Magazine Holders highly recommended
– Lunch or Snack
– Something to Drink
