Things to do and see in Talladega
If you are joining us in Talladega for the 2024 IDPA National Championship Presented by Beretta, we have a few things worth visiting and checking out while you are in the area! Obviously CMP Talladega tops the list, but we know you are all set to enjoy the range if you are joining us for Nats.
Here are our other favorites, in no particular order.
International Motorsports Hall of Fame
The International Motorsports Hall of Fame is a hall of fame located adjacent to the 2.66 mi Talladega Superspeedway located in Talladega County, east central Alabama. It enshrines those who have contributed the most to motorsports either as a developer, driver, engineer, or owner.
Talladega Hall of Heroes
A visit to Talladega Hall of Heroes Military History Museum includes FREE entry to see artifacts, uniforms, photographs, and more, all from our honored veterans and first responders in our community.
Buc-ee’s, Leeds, Alabama
If you have never been to a Buc-ee’s, it’s worth the hype. They are incredible, massive convenience stores. Often called the “Gas Pro Shop” in the south, Buc-ee’s truly is a highway oasis. Not only do they have the cleanest restrooms ever seen in a gas station, they have very helpful staff members and just about every road trip snack ever invented. They have swag and tons of great southern housewares. And if you know Chris at HQ, and how she feels about tacos, you know it’s high praise from her when she says that “the brisket tacos are to die for!”
